Wide open fields that can be use for many activities. Was there for the Vietnamese Vesak festival. Great place to walk within all the main monuments like WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Lincoln, reflection pool, etc…

The JFK Hockey Fields in Washington, D.C. — a rather misleading moniker, given the vast expanse of green that greets you upon arrival. While one might expect icy rinks and the sounds of pucks and skates, instead, you're presented with a sprawling canvas of grass. Its simplicity, however, is its charm. Amidst the hustle and bustle of D.C., this verdant patch offers a respite, a place to lay out a picnic, toss a frisbee, or simply bask in the sun. The gentle undulations of the grass seem to beckon passersby to take a moment, breathe, and savor the simpler pleasures of life. Greasy field where sports tournaments were held in the 1960’s and through to the present. There are some nice views of the Washington Monument. Also, a nice place for a picnic when events are not ongoing. There’s a public restroom nearby that is well serviced.

The fields were closed and roped off. It is parallel to the Lincoln Reflection Pool. There aren't any paths through the field so when closed off you need to go all the way around to get to the road.
