The grass field has tons of holes and uneven parts and, like all SF Rec and Parks fields, is over-watered and hence muddy ... which is also exactly why the field becomes so uneven in the first place. Seems like common sense, but SF Rec and Parks is unable to figure this out. I give it 3 stars nstead of 1 because the location at the eastern edge of GGP is great because it's very central in the city and hence pretty easy for most people to get to.

This wonderful old park is lush and inviting, with clean asphalt walkways leading to various destinations - or just providing a scenic stroll. In the area adjacent to Kezar Blvd. and MLK Blvd., on the walk to the Little Rec soccer fields, there's a covered carousel, a sizeable space for an outdoor birthday party, a large enclosed playground, easily accessible bathrooms, and large grassy areas where people can read, relax, and picnic.

This kids soccer field is in a convenient location and there is quick access to playground next door, but the field is very lumpy, so adults should beware or rolled ankles!

Great spot to hang out in Golden gate park. In the weekends you often have bands playing music until sunset!

Lovely but avoid all sport people. Especially those playing ultimate frisbee
